Taliban 45 Days Captive Tells of Harrowing Tale

Jere Van Dyke was released from Taliban captivity after 45 days.

This CBS News correspondent was expecting death anytime during this harrowing experience but was resolute in keeping his calm and his faith.

His steadfastness in his religious belief, his truthfulness coupled with great humility has helped him overcome the ordeal and eventually his release.

All Christians can learn from his example as this blogger shares with you David's prayer in Psalm 23:4, "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me."

Clinging to God  through Jesus Christ in times of trouble, fear and uncertainty makes us stronger in being one with our Creator, the Almighty One who is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End who leads us to everlasting life and eternal bliss.
