5:5, Jesus said, "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth."In this example, Kellie Pickler, clearly did not know the answer to the question. She may have been embarrassed about it on national television.
But, with her truthfulness, passing the right to answer the question to a very confident 5th Grade contestant, Nathan, whom she was supposed to help win in the game, made her win $25,000 in the process.
No matter how popular or how famous you can be, you an be tested many times on your humility. And it is our meekness that God wants us to exude many times in our life, not with foolish pride which may just cause us trouble or can quickly spell ones downfall.
In Matthew 23:11, Jesus said to the crowd with his disciples, "For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted."
Through Jesus' Christ's teachings we gain wisdom, and through humility, we gain respect and honor.
As in Proverbs
15:33, "The fear of the Lord teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honor."
